We all know the annoying itch when a mosquito has bitten us, or more correctly: injected us. The insect doesn't have teeth but a sharp hollow needle to inject a blood thinner under the skin and to suck up blood through it.... The victim gets a minuscule protein shot, and that's the stuff that causes the itch. Scratching the spot only makes it worse and might even damage the skin. Dabbing with ammonia sometimes seems to reduce the itch for a while but not permanently.
To 'beat the bite' instantly is pretty easy to do, all you need is heat... A popular way to apply heat to the spot is to heat up a spoon by holding it in a cup of hot water (use your tea spoon) and thereafter press it onto the bitten spot, without burning your skin of course..
Anything that's hot enough to 'deactivate' (denaturing) the protein will do (60 - 70C) , so when you are outside in the nature or at the beach you can use anything that's heated up by the sun like a dark stone, sometimes the heat of the sand will do..! Rub your hands together vigorously until they get really hot and press your palms against the bite. It takes just minutes to neutralize the injected tormentor and it will cause the enzymes stop functioning.
