Treat Migraine/Headache with massage and pressure-points only.

How to treat Migraine/Headache with massage and pressure-points only.

An old note I made 30 years ago...

Also see:
("Why do I have a painful neck for such a long time...?")

1. Stress and tension, built up between the shoulder blades need to be massaged, as well as the neck muscles up to the skull, from ear to ear..
The green area 'Upper back', that's what I'm talking about.

~~
2. Press the sinus-frontalis, just below the center of the eyebrow, above the eye. And the area below the eyes and next to the nose. Also the area all around the eyeballs.

Easy to massage with your thumb, put your fingers on the brow.

3.Massage the temple-area between the eyes and the ears.

All exposed muscles in this picture (left) love to get a massage...
(don't forget on the cheek muscles)

4. To lower blood pressure.

(very often the cause of headache)
carotid artery

Press the center point at the edge of the skull for about 10 sec. while you INHALE and EXHALE
Next you do is to press the blood artery in the neck very deep so it blocks the blood stream..! This moment the patient has to take a deep breath, release the pressure point at exhaling... repeat on the other side. No more than twice each side...! Blood pressure will drop by many points...

The left side artery treatment will especially lower the upper pressure while the righthand side will lower more on the under pressure..

have your kidneys checked...!!!
~~

5. Take a (2) handful of hair and pull gently, repeat on all other head hair. If no hair, massage the skull...
~~

6. Manipulate the vertebrae with the 'hug' position. ( Embrace the patient from the front, standing position, then press firmly to 'crack' the vertebs.) Be careful with older people...
~~

Points related to Headache/Migraine.
(Be gently on B 10, too strong stimuli might cause fainting.)

Exact position of the points, see next pictures:

Bladder 63 and Kidney (IV)1.

Spleen/Pancreas (XII) 3 and 4

Spleen 41.

Other points:

Place your thumb on one side and your index finger on the other, then firmly press and rotate that area.

~~

Be aware pain is there to warn you something's wrong.
have your kidneys checked...!!!

There's a reason to pay attention on what's going on inside... Its very easy to take a Paracetamol or another painkiller to get rid of your nasty feeling. But quite often the complaints return and more medication is needed...

A lot of things can be wrong inside of your head and they can cause a headache...

Listen to your body, don't ignore signals, live a healthy life and watch your eating habits...

Don't use cold drinks/ice creams.
It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion.
Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water/tea after a meal.
(Imagine you drink a glass of cold water after consuming a bar of chocolate. This bar melted in your mouth but will become solid again in your stomach...!!! )

Frowns
cause muscle-tension and stress. A smile, a laughter releases those inconveniences and relaxes the whole body ..

....singing and humming can prevent you from getting an attack...
Yoga exercises (sport) and breathing control will regulate the oxygen-flow in your blood.

Don't smoke, unless its THC :). Don't do alcohol. No Soda's.

Add Broccoli and Cayenne pepper to your cuisine.

Get enough fresh air, take a walk in the woods or along the beach.

Have animals around you
( great against hypertension..!)

Marijuana Use Seldom Associated with
Emergency Room Visits !!!!!

First-Ever National Study Says.

Lifetime use of marijuana is rarely associated with emergency room visits, according to an analysis of epidemiologic survey data published online by the American Journal of Emergency Medicine.
Investigators at the University of Michigan reviewed the overall prevalence of drug-related emergency department (ED) visits among lifetime users of illicit substances. Researchers analyzed data from the National Epidemiologic Survey on Alcohol and Related Conditions, which is a nationally representative survey of 43,093 residents age 18 or older. The study is the first to use nationally representative data to examine patterns and correlates of drug-related ED visits.
Among those surveyed, subjects that reported using cannabis were the least likely to report an ED visit (1.71 percent).
Respondents who reported lifetime use of heroin, tranquilizers, and inhalants were most likely (18.5 percent, 6.3 percent, and 6.2 percent respectively) to report experiencing one or more ED visits related to their drug use.
Investigators concluded, “Marijuana was by far the most commonly used (illicit) drug, but individuals who used marijuana had a low prevalence of drug-related ED visits.”
A 2009 Swiss study published in journal BMC Public Health previously reported that the use of cannabis was inversely associated with injuries requiring hospitalization.
A prior case-control study conducted by the University of Missouri also reported an inverse relationship between marijuana use and injury risk, finding, “Self-reported marijuana use in the previous seven days was associated … with a substantially decreased risk of injury.”
Most recently, a RAND study published this month reported that fewer than 200 total patients were admitted to California hospitals in 2008 for “marijuana abuse or dependence.” By contrast, there are an estimated 73,000 annual hospitalizations in California related to the use of alcohol.
These findings belie the myth that adult marijuana use is a primary cause of hospitalizations or ED visits. The reality is that few if any therapeutic or psychoactive substances possess a safety profile comparable to cannabis.

Drinking Soda's..? Bad idea....do fruits and juices.

Your Body within 1 Hour of Drinking a Soda

According to the Nutrition Research Center, this is what happens to your body within 1 hour of drinking a can of soda:

-10 minutes:
10 teaspoons of sugar hit your system, which is 100 percent of your recommended daily intake. You'd normally vomit from such an intake, but the phosphoric acid cuts the flavor.

-20 minutes:
Your blood sugar skyrockets. Your liver attempts to maximize insulin production in order to turn high levels of sugar into fat.

-40 minutes:
As your body finishes absorbing the caffeine, your pupils dilate, your blood pressure rises, and your liver pumps more sugar into the bloodstream. Adenosine receptors in your brain are blocked preventing you from feeling how tired you may actually be.

-45 minutes:
Your body increases dopamine production, causing you to feel pleasure and adding to the addictiveness of the beverage. This physical neuro response works the same way as it would if we were consuming heroin.

>60 minutes:
The phosphoric acid binds calcium, magnesium and zinc in your lower intestine, which boosts your metabolism a bit further. High doses of sugar and artificial sweeteners compound this effect, increasing the urinary excretion of calcium. The caffeine’s diuretic properties come into play. (You have to GO!) Your body will eliminate the bonded calcium, magnesium and zinc that was otherwise heading to your bones. And you will also flush out the sodium, electrolytes and water. Your body has eliminated the water that was in the soda. And in the process it was infused with nutrients and minerals your body would have otherwise used to hydrate your system or build body cells, bones, teeth.

-60 minutes:
The sugar crash begins. You may become irritable and/or sluggish. You start feeling like crap.

Time to grab another?

Fizzy drinks sold by Coca-Cola in Britain have been found to contain pesticides at up to 300 times the level allowed in tap or bottled water.

A worldwide study found pesticide levels in orange and lemon drinks sold under the Fanta brand, which is popular with children, were at their highest in the UK.

The research team called on the Government, the industry and the company to act to remove the chemicals and called for new safety standards to regulate the soft drinks market.
The industry denies children are at risk and insists that the levels found by researchers based at the University of Jaen in southern Spain are not harmful.
The researchers tested 102 cans and bottles of soft drinks, bought from 15 countries, for the presence of 100 pesticides. The UK products were bought in London, Cambridge, Edinburgh, St Andrews and at Gatwick Airport.
The experts said the levels found were low under the maximum residue levels allowed for fruit, but they were 'very high' and 'up to 300 times' the figure permitted for bottled or tap water.

The chemicals detected included carbendazim, thiabendazole, imazalil, prochloraz, malathion and iprodione. They are mainly applied to fruit after harvest to stop it developing fungal infections and rotting.

A total of 19 products were bought in the UK, all made by Coca-Cola.

Two orange drinks bought in the UK contained imazalil at 300 times the limit permitted for a single pesticide in drinking water.

Two similar products contained 98 times the legal drinking water limit for thiabendazole.

The average level of the total pesticide contamination of the British drinks was 17.4 parts per billion - 34.6 times the EU maximum residue level for water.

Coca-Cola GB insisted the products are safe. A spokesman said: 'All of the drinks tested meet the safety regulations relating to food products made from agricultural ingredients, which include drinks with fruit juice as an ingredient.

'The generally miniscule levels that were detected were well within the acceptable daily intake levels and these findings should reassure consumers there is no safety issue here.'
